Strategic Planning
We focus solely on strategic planning for specific governmental and nonprofit purposes
For Government in Conjunction with Economic Development
The pressures on government to meet the wide range of expectations and mediate between competing and sometimes conflicting interests makes the development of a strategic plan critical to being able to move a municipality forward. Goaltrac uses a SWOT analysis generated from confidential interviews, public surveys, and background research to bring consensus first on the key issues that need to be addressed and then on the key solutions to resolve those issues.

For Master Plan Updates
Master Plans are great tools for outlining all that could be done to improve and protect a community. Prioritizing which of its goals are the most important and the most timely via a strategic planning process is a smart way to capitalize on the money and time spent on the master plan to ensure its implementation.

For Historic Preservation Nonprofits
Historic Preservation nonprofits, be they local, statewide, or national, all face ongoing challenges to make themselves heard, to raise money, and to meet their preservation mission. Goaltrac has extensive experience with a range of historic nonprofits to help them plan and grow strategically. Goaltrac provided repeated annual strategic workplans for nine years to a struggling nonprofit to help transform it into a robust and respected statewide organization. The transformation was recognized nationally by the National Trust for Historic Preservation which awarded MHPN its Trustee’s Award for Organizational Excellence “for laying the foundation for continued preservation success through a significantly increased capacity and sharpened focus in recent years.”
